SCHOOL!

That's what's been happening in my life. I started "for real" on Monday, and we're now into the full swing of things. I like being in schedule, but it's not going to be as "organized", say, as last year. This year I'm not going to have a schedule that says "this time you do this and that time you do this." It's going to be more of my Mom telling me what I have to be done in each subject by the end of the week and I'm responsible for getting it done. I think I'll like it that way too.

Well, now for the talk on subjects. I'm doing all sorts of amazing curriculums this year, which is awesome.
For science I'm doing one called General Science, which I started last year, and am finishing this year. Hopefully by Christmas I'll be into the Physical Science. The man who wrote these books, Wile, I love his way of teaching. I never really liked science before, but now that I've been doing this program, I really appreciate it more than I use to. It shows so much about creation, and how to defend your faith.
I'm doing a really neat Bible study this year too. It's called the Kingdom of God, and it's a survey of the Old Testament, in detail though. So I have to read the Old Testament, almost all the chapters. It's actually quite a demanding course. It's Grade Nine, and for a grade nine credit.
My writing program is called Jensen's Format Writing, and it's quite challenging as well. You have to write a 1500 word essay every ten days. (CRAZY!!!) I've already written twp paragraphs, on my third. I'm on the section of paragraphs.
Language I'm doing the same program as always. But I'm not going to totally complete the whole book. I do the review for each unit, do the test, 80% or higher, I can go to the next unit. It's mostly a review sort of thing.
Math. I really don't want to talk about the subject. Sorry to anyone who loves math. I just cannot, and I don't think ever have, been able to click with it. I'm doing Saxon math this year, finishing Alegbra 1/2, (which I didn't finish last year) and after that I'll be doing a program called Math and Music. That will be really cool, because it relates math, say ratios, for example, to music, say vibrations of a stringed instrument, and teaches it through that. So hopefully through this program it will help me relate to Math through something I relate to. But my Mom got this CD this year that goes with the Saxon textbooks, and the teacher guy is a Christian, and was talking to people who don't like Math and just don't click. He said, and made me think too, that Math is a way of learning God and his creation better, and that if you have a bad attitude about it, you won't get anywhere, and won't be taking the advantages, or appreciating what your parents are doing for you (mainly getting the program and CD) to try to give you the best education possible. He said more words about it, but I'm no the best at describing, on the internet that is.
And look here, I've written more about math as a subject than any other I've talked about yet! Maybe the CD is working . . . ^_^
I'm insanely busy this week and next week, so you won't see a new blog post too soon. *weeps* Next week I start teaching gymnastics, have all my music lessons, school . . . and the list goes on. This weekend is crazy too. I have piano, cello, voice, and harmony lessons all tonight. It's my first harmony lesson! I'm looking forward to it.
Tomorrow I have to leave to go to London with Cho and our bros and her Mom for a concert. That will be busy. It's a concert that's been called Trio Forte. A cello player, who is probably the most renowned in Canada, a violin player, who is loaning from a music bank a 1700 Stradivaris violin (WOW!!!!!!) and an amazing piano player who went to Juliard. It will be amazing!
And on the weekend I have to sing for a wedding, I have ballet, and choir rehearsal.
So lots to do!

I'M BACK!!!!!!!

I'm home! It's so nice to be back, and the experience I've had has been so amazing! I've seen soooooo many amazing things . . . and I just got back home yesterday, so I can't tell you about my trip in this post. I'm guessing it's going to be sprawled out over my posts in the next couple of weeks.

I hope to visit all of your blogs soon too, but I am making a new "objective" this school year computer wise. This summer I've spent too much time on the computer, so I'm going to try to keep it down in the new school year. That will mean blogging only on Friday's and Saturdays, if I have time. This year will be very busy and a big school year acedemically and musically, so I have to cut down on computer time. It will be good for me too, because sometimes blogging can get so addictive.
But when I do post, I'll look forward to it. You're all so amazing.

One thing in this post about my trip . . . well, the HUGe, gorgeous, amazing, too wonderful to describe church organs. Holland has so much history, and with that comes the churches. They are gorgeous. Huge chandeliers, beautiful stained glass windows, floor that's actually graves of people, the pulpits (I'm not kidding), and the organs. Most of them have beautiful tones, and they're so plain beautiful! It's hard to describe them. I don't know if you can even describe them in words! Another cool thing on my trip was that I went on lots of trams and trains and a plane two times! I love flying . . . it's so amazing!
The complete number of all the pictures on different films of my trip (including the ones we took when I was back home) will amount to 16. WOW! Plus my darling Oma bought Eowyn and me 50 postcards each, from all kinds of places. Then there's the flyers from all those places as well. So I'll have a ton of scrapbooking to do! It's so awesome!
I took 14 films on my trip, plus the two films (ones not used up yet) that we took when I got back home.

Tonight I have ballet! I've been waiting all summer for it to start again. I love dance, and now it's actually happening! It started last Saturday, and one of my classes was yesterday, so I'll have only missed three. I'm doing two grades this year, 4 and 5. That means four hours a week.

I saw Cho last night too, and that was really cool. I've missed her, and all of you, a ton. It was so nice to see my family yesterday too . . . when you were gone so long, it's hard to imagine ever getting back. Being with my family again is amazing, although different. My life is almost different now, with Cho and Feanor in highschool. I miss them both terribly in the day, but I have to keep reminding myself that I WILL see them again.

And I start school next week. CAN'T WAIT! Summer holidays is nice, but I like the schedule thing. A busy year it will be for me though!

HELLO EVERYONE!

This has to be a quick post, but I just wanted to say hi to everyone and tell them I'm having an awesome time! I'm doing tons and tons of sightseeing, and I've already taken five films *sheepish grin* and everything's amazing!!!!!!!!!

We're going to go to Germany sometime this week, which will be amazing too! I can't wait! And Saturday I'm going to Amsterdam, which will be a lot of fun. We're going to go see the Secret Annex of Anne Frank, the real thing, and that will be really neat! I can't wait for that!

And I played a piano today! First time in a week! I was so happy when I finished, totally ful filled! But I hated leaving the piano in that house. I almostcouldn't part with it. Hoefully I'll get another chance like that sometime soon.
