You stoop down to make me great.-Psalm 18:35
And He said, Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of gentle stillness and a still, small voice. When Elijah heard the voice, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, What are you doing here, Elijah?-1 Kings 19:11-13I'm going to start paying attention to the small things more often. I shouldn't be waiting for God to just smack me in the face with something huge. He may come to me in a small breeze, and alot of the time I think I don't even notice it because I'm waiting for something huge. But really, He was wanting me to pay attention to the breeze all along, not the huge gust of wind.
sometimes, well actually no, a lot of the time I get really scared about the future. and I get myself really worried. but the other day I was thinking about it, and I realized that it's best that I don't know about the future, and that I shouldn't worry at all, because God knows what's going to happen, and that's all I need right now anyways. plus, then it's more exciting because it's like a mystery/surprise. I'm glad God knows all things.I believe in the sun even when it's not shiningI believe in love even when I don't feel itAnd I believe in God even when He is silentAnd I, I believe No dark can consume Light -Barlowgirl
How deep the Father's love for us How vast beyond all measure That He should give His only Son And make a wretch His treasure How great the pain of searing loss The Father turns His face away As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory Behold the man upon the cross My sin upon His shoulder Ashamed I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers It was my sin that held Him there Until it was accomplished His dying breath has brought me life I know that it is finished I will not boast in anything No gifts, no power, no wisdom But I will boast in Jesus Christ His death and resurrection Why should I gain from His reward I cannot give an answer But this I know with all my heart His wounds have paid my ransom
