Strings Camp Camping/Strings Camp

So this weekend, wonder of wonders, i'm going camping - in a tent. With Summer and Shimmer and Cho and her brother. For this weekend anyways. Next week is Strings Camp which we're all going to as well. It should be seriously cool. Summer and the Shimster are staying at my house the whole week long :D anyways, i have to go pack. This weekend should be interesting....no shower facilities, no real bathroom facilities...but as Cho said we shall stay strong. :P lol, and we have to wear that icky bug spray stuff for the whole weekend otherwise we'll die the horrioble death of being eaten by mosquitos and other such scary things. ewww anyways, bye! I might blog on the weekend. oh, and Happy Canada Day.

Deuteronomy 30

"I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live."

Choose life. Whenever you have the chance to, choose life.

"i love you really truly back back and past you to the land of multiplying and then it bounds around and when it finally reaches you, it is so forceful, it sweeps your house up and flies it to me. and then sweeps me up too. and we'll fly forever"
-Shimmer

lol i had to post that. Shimmer makes me so happy. and when i can't think straight or when i don't know how to put Scribbler (non-scribbled :P) things into Paint to print she tells me how. when i feel guilty or totally bummed out, she tells me to see her a song. which i attempt to do over msn. :P anyways shimstrum, you make me laugh and cry, happily cry. lol. and i love you.

Aria and Allegro Posted by Hello

My Graduation

Well my grad was sooo much fun and amazing. It was a really special night not only cause there were Gr.8's graduating but three Gr.12 guys from our homeschool group as well. The one is going off to Newfoundland to become a doctor and the other is working in Niagara falls...so it was emotional for their parents and for some others. So that was cool....the one part I liked about the Gr.12 ceremony was that the father of one of the Gr.12 grads sang a solocalled "The Mission" sung by Steve Green.

THE MISSION
Words and music by Jon Mohr and Randall DennisCopyright 1989 Feed and Seed Music/J.R. Dennis Music. All rights reserved. International copyright secured. Used by permission.

There's a call going out
Across the land in every nation
A call to those who swear allegiance to the cross of Christ
A call to true humility, to live our live responsibly
To deepen our devotion to the cross at any price
Let us then be sober, moving only in the Spirit
As aliens and strangers in a hostile foreign land
The message we're proclaiming is repentance and forgiveness
The offer of salvation to a dying race of man

Chorus:To love the Lord our God
Is the heartbeat of our mission
The spring from which our service overflows
Across the street
Or around the world
The mission's still the same
Proclaim and live the Truth
In Jesus' name

As a candle is consumed by the passion of the flame
Spilling light unsparingly throughout a darkened room
Let us burn to know Him deeper
Then our service flaming bright
Will radiate his passions
And blaze with holy light

Chorus
Chorus

It was so fitting and beautiful. I love the part "to love the Lord our God is the heartbeat of our mission." We are on a mission. I never really thought of it that way before. Now I'll post one picture. :D

weeeee

Well, tomorrow is my Gr. 8 Graduation....it should be a lot of fun. This morning we had a homeschool choir practice (the choir is going to be singing at the grad). After that we stayed at the church to practice this skit that all the gr. 8 grads are doing...it amuses, seriously. It's too a song called the "Homeschool Blues" and I have to pretend I'm playing the guitar. Even worse I have to pretend I'm singing the lead singer guy in the song....which is extremely scary cause he has the funniest voice. It makes me laugh. But hey, I will do what I am told to do. Which....might be scary.

After THAT we stayed at the church and decorated it all. So now it looks nice. I'm excited about tomorrow cause i get to wear my dress and my new shoes and my new necklace (which is actually a gift from my parents for my grad) and my hair is going to be up. :D exciting that this all is, lol. the only sad thing is that none of you guys can come, which really bums me out. :( i shall have to....keep on living. horror. of. horrors. without. you. guys. there. *shocked* i don't know if i will be able to live. :P

hmm it seems to me that i have to go. because i want to finish my vocab book tonight. YES the whole book. i hope. that's my goal anyways.

Whatever It Takes

Whatever it takes
To keep me tender toward You
Whatever it takes, Lord
I beg you to do
Whatever You must lead me through
Whatever it takes, Lord...do

At times I hear Your voice and try to hide
But patiently you draw me to Your side
I may not always see
That Your words are life to me
So many times I've missed You
Help me, Lord, to not resist You

Sometimes my heart gets hard and I can't see
That Your correction os protecting me
But as I look within
The darkness of my sin
Breaks my heart and leaves me tender
Gratefully I then surrender

-Steve Green

hmm....lots of stuff going through my mind. I'm thinking about a lot of things...maybe thats a good thing. :P I was up early this morning. I don't know why but right now it's 7:15 AM. I like blogging/posting in the morning when no one is up. It's peaceful. Outside the birds are just starting to chirp and everything is waking up to start a new day. Another day. Life never gets boring to me. There's always something new to figure out, always things to hold on to. For me. I feel sorry for the people who are only a lie. Who live a lie. Who are famous....but when they reach the top they find that nothing is there. Just temporary fame. But what use is that? They have no hope whatsoever....it makes me sad to think about it. So....what do they have to hold on to if they don't have Christ?

I have to go. Schoolwork to do. <3

quotes

"I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because the praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment; Praise is enjoyment's appointed consummation...the delight is incomplete till it is expressed."
-C.S.Lewis

"The cross stands as a mystery because it is foreign to everything we exalt - self over principle, power over meekness, the quick fix over the long haul, cover-up over confession, comfort over sacrifice, feeling over commitment, legality over justice...man over God."
-Ravi Zacharias

music

I've been thinking lately about how music affects me. At times when I'm randomly talking on MSN I'll turn on some music. When I'm just sitting around doing nothing but thinking about everything I'll turn on music. And it seems like it's helping to settle my emotions down, but really, it stirs them up more. It's hard to explain. Listening to music can do both for me; calm me and stir up new emotions and thoughts and make me feel worse then I did before. Maybe that's what it's supposed to be like, to help you sort out your feelings but still bring new thoughts to mind at the same time. I think it does both, but it depends on the music and your mood. Music has always been a comfort to me. When I'm in a bad mood I'll go up to my mood and listen to the Cottars or Mindy Smith. Or go plonk on the piano. Whether that be banging my thoughts out or just playing quietly. I love listening to music when I go to sleep cause it relaxes me. Or, maybe it will stir up more thoughts and more emotions. :P

I feel loved. I know am loved. I have an amazing God, family, friends....life is just wonderful. But yet....it's normal. A good normal. But yet I feel like something rejuvenating has to happen, to keep me going. A feeling that's hard to explain really.

This weekend will be amazing. Tomorrow night will be my brother's school music concert and everyone will be there...Chels and just plain everyone. Plus we went to Timmy's last time so we have decided it has become a tradition so we have to go again...lol chels and i already decided that. :P Friday night is the PDG barbecue and all of your family is invited. My Mom wanted to do visiting too so we're going to Cambridge for the whole day and we'll go to Lara's early. :D Plus the NEXT day is our Choral Connection concert which is amazingly exciting cause there will be a whole ton of people there and I'll get to see most people two days in a row O_O that's basically a record.

Outstretched Hands

Could I talk to You?
Are You listening?
Would You let me ask the questions
That burn inside of me?
I am reaching out
I am holding on
Feel like one of Your affections
But not quite like I belong
Like I belong

I am numb today
Everything's a blur
I've seen too much to deny
Too little to be sure
Like a prodigal
Like a distant son
I can see You from a distance
But I’m too ashamed to come

Will You see me through this valley?
Will You hold my outstretched hands?
As the world caves in around me
Will You help me understand?
Help me understand, help me understand

I am scared to fall
Scared to carry on
Am I losing to the cynic
After running for so long?
There's a child in me
Lost in mystery
But it's buried underneath the earth
Longing to be free
-Starfield
