You are

What Rejected Crayon Are You?

Your Irish Name Is...

Nuala Walsh

Your Birthdate: March 9
Your birth on the 9th day of the month adds a tone of idealism and humanitarianism to your nature.
You become one who can work easily with people because you are broadminded, tolerant and generous.
You are ever sensitive to others' needs and feelings, and you are very sympathetic and compassionate.

Your feeling run deep and you often find yourself in dramatically charged situations.
This 9 energy always tends to give more that it gets.

What Does Your Birth Date Mean?
{Hurricane}
Mindy Smith
I felt the faint trace of thunder
Rattle this old house
I saw the fire light the sky
But there's no sign of rain anywhere
I need a hurricane to empty out this place
Seems it's the only way
To salvage any sense I have left
To move on
I'm waiting to hear your voice again
And lighten up this heart
And I'm holding on to stupid memories
But I see you in every little thing
I need a hurricane to straighten out this place
It may be the only way
To salvage any sense I have left
To move on
I need a hurricane to ravage this place
I think it's the only way
To salvage any sense I have left
To move on
I felt the faint trace of thunder
But there's no sign of rain anywhere
No there's no sign of you anywhere
Lately I've been finding a ton of things out about myself...with the help of some people. It's kinda hard to explain. I thought lately people were acting fake, when really I was the one who was acting fake, the one who wasn't being myself all the time. I thought people were excluding me, when really I was the one who was making assumptions that they were. When they weren't.
So I would feel sorry for myself and pout, when really it was all my fault. I made assupmtions about a lot of people, a lot of stuff. Which was wrong. I shouldn't have made assumptions of people when I hadely even knew them in the first place. I hate talking about people behind their backs. Yet, I'm guilty of this all the time.
Now I'm making things better. With people, myself, and God. Reading my Bible more, praying more. "Sometimes it's hard to know that you need to be saved, 'til you hit the bottom, and rattle the cage. Sometimes you just gotta keep digging away, until you breath through, to the light of the day..." Mindy Smith
One verse that I've come back to again and again lately is 1 Corinthians 12:9...
"And He said to me, "My grace is sifficient for you, for my Strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
Reminds me again and again that when I make mistakes, when I've messed up...I can come back to God again and again, all the time, whenever I need to. And He'll listen. He'll forgive me again and again.
1 Corinthians 12:5...
"Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will no boast, except in my infirmities."
So true. Our sins our ugly, but made beautiful in Christ.
All the things I know I need
It just keeps me searching
All the things I've never had
It just keeps me wanting it more
Fighting for it all
-Mindy Smith
*sigh* I love Mindy Smith. I love my family, friends. Who will always understand, even when I don't seem to or don't want to. Who will always forgive me and give me another chance when I've messed up. Which I do a lot. We all do it a lot. I love God. Who is the most important person in my life. Who will forgive me for everything in my whole entire life. Friends and family may not always be there for your whole life...God will. Comforting thought. Wonderful thought. When I don't always want to listen to HIm, when I rebel against Him, He'll forgive. We can ask or things, He'll always give answers, It might not be the answer we want, but God knows best. Trust in Him.
A lot of thinking...a lot of feelings and a whole bunch of stuff...is making me tired. But back to work I go. My braaaaain has been thinking too hard.
God Bless,
Allegro

Christ - the only sufficient Mediator

(from the City of God by St. Augustine)

"It amazes me that such learned men, who have decided that all material things, discerned by the senses, are inferior in value to spiritual things accessible only to the intellect, should make any mention of physical contact, when the question concerns the life of felicity. What has become of that saying of Plotinus, "We must flee to our beloved country. There the Father is, and there is everything. Where shall we take ship? How can we flee? By becoming like God." If man comes near to God in proportion as he grows more like him, then unlikeness to God is the only separation from him, and the soul of man is enstranged from the immaterial, eternal and unchangeable being in proportion as it craves for things that are temporal and changeable.
For the cure of this condition we need a mediator, since there can be no direct meeting between immortal purity on high and the mortal and unclean things below. But our need is not for a mediator with an immortal body, like the bodies on high, but with a diseased soul, like those below-for that disease would make him envious of our possivle cure, and by no means ready to assist us towards health. We need a mediator linked with us in our lowliness by reason of the mortal nature of his body, and yet able to render us truly divine assistance for our purification and liberation, through the immortal justice of his spirit in virtue of which he has remained in his dwelling on high-not by spatial remoteness from us, but by his unique resemblance to God. It is unthinkable that God, who is incapable of defilement, should be afraid of contamination by the human nature in which he was clothed. For by his incarnation he showed us, for our salvation, two truths of the greatest importance: that the true divine nature cannot be polluted by the flesh, and that demons are not to be reckoned our superiors because they are not creatures of the flesh. This mediator is, as the holy Scripture proclaims, "the mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus." In respect of his divinity he is always equal to the Father, and by his humanity he became like us. But this is not to the place to attempt (as far as our powers would allow) an adequate discussion of this doctrine.

Wow, so true. It makes me marvel at God's grace even more after reading this...after just thinking about what He did in sending His Only Son down to earth for US. Sinners. Dead IN our sins. So He could save us. So we could live with Him forever. He loves us, He wants us to love Him. And to think after all God has done for us. Loving us, even though we are sinners always stumbling again and again. That we reject Him. "Yet we asteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted." We reject God, we turn our faces the other way, set on going our own path. We hate Him because of our depraved nature. I can't believe I do this. I am so guilty.
And even when we do all of this. Sin continually, go against His word...He forgives us over and over when we come to Him. What an amazing and gracious God. I can't fathom it.

Shimmer just made me really really happy. This is what she just said on msn to me...she was leaving.
"I better go. *sigh* I miss you I'm sending an atomic bomb over to you look for the package that is labelled "Fragiledangerousexplosivehandle with careLOVEtake to big field but beware effects may spread to those in your vicinity-- "
waaah, i love shimmer, she's so wonderful.

i love my friends. they make me feel....happy. they can make me laugh and fell fulfilled when i've had the worst day ever. i've cried, they can help me sort out my feelings and help me make decisions. my friends are amazing. i miss them like nuts. and nuts are good. :D

When you're blindsided and deceived
And chained to the floor
When it's difficult to see
The writing on the wall
Chorus:
Keep on beleiving God is
Soaring above a world that's
Running out of love
Pouring hope out over us
His angel doves
WHen it's hard for you to breathe
Keep a clear mind
When it's hard for you to be
Just to be yourself sometimes
Keep on beleiving God is
Soaring above world that's
Running out of love
Pouring hope out over us

Well, that's all for now everyone.

T-I-R-E-D

Dead tired. And very cold (at the moment). I just went upstairs to get a sweater and socks. I was already wearing pants and a long sleeved shirt. Hmmm, maybe I'm cold-blooded or something. *wink* I got a pair of blue socks, which go sooo nicely with my black pants. *snort* And my fuzzy, lovely, orange sweater. So now I'm cozy and ready to write another post.

I haven't posted in so long! The last few days have been crazy busy for me though. They were busy, and they didn't even have anything to do with schoolwork. Actually, I haven't done school for the last two days. Next week I am buckling down and getting the things I'm so beind in done. Like Math, Bible, Enlgish, and Logic. The main things. Then there's the Latin and French I'm a bit behind in. Science shouldn't be too hard to finish up.

AH, why am I so tired? There was a Youth Group thing at my church tonight that I would've gone too. My brother isn't going though, he has a track meet tomorrow. So I won't go either I guess.

The tag on my sweater is itching me.

Yesterday was my ballet exam. It went really well, even though I have major feet cramps today and my legs are SO SORE. Walking down the stairs is torture. The examiner was "Mrs. Brown" and older lady with "blonde" hair. I love ballet examiners. Their so prim and proper, adorable old ladies. I smiled at her once, a big smile, and her whole face lit up, it was funny. That's what ballet examiners like though. Big smiles, happy faces/personalities, showy dancing. Plus all the other things that you've learned and perfected the whole year to actually do the exam. I hope she liked me.

After my exam I had to race home and take a shower before our little homeschool choir thing that my Mom oraganized and directs. I had to take a shower. . . ew, it was so gross. I had already put a ton of gel in my hair for my exam (because your bunn and everything has to be absoutely perfect. No little hair out of place. :S) and I got there, Miss Jaqueline stuck a huge blob of this yucky orange gel on her hand. It was a huge blob. She didn't even rub it in her hands, just slid it over my hair. My hair went flaky and jelly, it was not a very nice feeling.

So I had to take a shower in ten minutes. I still feel like the gel is in my hair, YUCK.

That night I had an hour and a half of music lessons. Voice, harmony, and piano. I had already had an hour piano lesson the night before, but both me and my teacher were really tired, so we said we'd just do the other half an hour the next day, since I was coming for Harmony anyways.
Trying to sing was a challenge. I felt like I was still panting from my ballet exam, let alone try to support my sound singing. :P

Today I had two festival classes. Singing classes that is. I was happy with how I sang it, but not happy with the adjudicator. My Tale of the Oyster my Mom said was the most "dramatic she's ever seen me do it." Which is sometimes hard for me, cause I think it's weird to do total dramatic character. I don't think it's weird, that's what makes Broadway funny and entertaining, but you just feel silly doing it. But today I thought I really let myself go. The ajduicator contradicted everything he said. He'd say what he was looking for in say my sacred class or broadway, and then give other people the first place, etc., who didn't do that at all. To my opinion. But that's the thing about fetivals. Everything is so subjective. So I didn't place in either classes, but oh well. You keep moving on, learning new stuff. Get over it. It's a festival, although I wasn't extremely happy, it's ok. It's subjective anyways. I SHALL LIVE. *wink*

Down In Flames
Mindy Smith

I don't usually take chances
Most would easily agree.
Something in your eyes
Is saying you can ease my heart ache
I have a hurting inside

And I know you're just a stranger
If you can't I'll understand
There's too many times I've lost
My chance to talk with an angel
Too many to count

Chorus 1:
And life's so hard
It's the little things that seem to be getting me today
Yeah, life's so hard
But I'm doing what I can to not be getting down
While I'm going down in flames
Going down in flames

And I would tell you I am happy
If I wasn't so sad
And the loneliness of both
Overwhelms and keeps me empty
That's how it's been for a while

(Repeat chorus 1)

I need some direction
I need someone to listen
Someone to tell me they know that

Chorus 2:
Life's so hard
It's the little things that seem to be getting me today
And life's so hard
And I'm doing what I can (x4)
I'm putting out the flames
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Mindy Smith has awesome lyrics. I love her singing, an I love Andrea and Maiden and Summer and Shimmer for getting me her CD. I listen to it all the time. :D

Well, life is busy. Which means I have to go. Sadly.
This is a long post. Thanks for listening. :D

letting go,

One Moment More

Hold me, even though I know you're leaving
And show me all the reasons you would stay
It's just enough to feel your breath on mine
To warm my soul and ease my mind
You've gotta hold me and and show me now

Give me just one part of you to clong to
And keep me everywhere you are
It's just enough to steal my heart and run
Then fade our with the falling sun

Chorus:
Oh, please don't go
Let me have you just one moment more
Oh, all I need
All I want is just one moment more
You've gotta hold me and and keep me now

Tell me how someday you'll be returning
And maybe, maybe I'll believe
It's just enough to see a shooting star
To know you're never really gone

Chorus:
Oh, please don't go
Let me have you just one moment more
Oh, all I need
All I want is just one moment more
Oh, please don't go
Let me have you just one moment more
Oh, all I need
All I want is just one moment more

You'be gotta hold me and maybe I'll believe
So hold me even though I know you're leaving

-Mindy Smith, One Moment More

wow. my weekend, was amazing. My party was one of the highlights of my year so far. We had so many great times and talks . . . laughs. Laying on the front lawn trying to tan and waving to the cars who went past, rofl. Great times, eh my friendsies? :P

I grew closer to people this past weekend. Over the past few months. My friends are amazing . . . I am a better person because of them. God has blessed me with bringing these people into my life. What would I do if I had never met them through . . . blogging and other people. I can't imagine it. I couldn't live without them.
Some people I didn't know were so wonderful before, and now everythings just, coming together. If that's how you can describe it.

Everyone who came to my party wrote in my journal, a wonderful note. Maiden and Cho still have to though, I shall get them to. You guys wrote such beautiful notes. That night I listened to One Moment More from Mindy Smith, the song we listened to sooo much over the weekend. I listened to it while reading your notes. I cried so hard. Not just because everything was over, but because you guys are so amazing and loving and wonderful. WHo wouldn't cry.

I loved listening to that funny music Lara brought and dancing *coughcough* to it. The cool arm thing, I can do it now. Not as good as Lara though I must say. :P
And Andrea, you looked amazing in my dress, I almost want to give it to you. :P
you guys all give such wonderful, comfortable hugs. *sigh* I need one from each of you at the moment. I wish you guys were all here with me right now.

Anyways, i gtg. ballet tonight, ballet exam in two days. I had a piano class in the festival today. Tied for first with a mark of 93. Which was really surprising, cause it was one of the worst times I had ever played my piece. Strange.
ttyl everyone

"Can I recover a lost post?

Sometimes, due to circumstances beyond your control, your post may seem to vanish into thin air. The Internet is a dangerous place: browsers can crash, network connections can go down just when you click "Publish," or you may just accidentally move on to a new page without realizing you had an unfinished post left behind you.

Luckily, we've got a nifty little feature that can save you from a lot of these cases. Periodically, as you write a post, the text of your post will get saved to a cookie on your browser. That way, even if something crashes, you may still be able to get your text back. Just go back to the posting form and look for the "Recover post" link:

Click that link, and anything that was saved in the browser's cookie will be filled into the posting form. You're saved!

Notes:
This feature is not guaranteed to work every time you lose a post, but it's always worth a shot.
You'll need to be logged in to the same blog that lost the post, and on the same browser, in order for this to work.
Don't type anything new in the posting form before trying to recover or that new text may overwrite your old cookie. "

THE story (by Summer and I)

It all happened when beautiful sunny day when Allegro (THE TEA MONSTER) decided she would write somewhere that she loved tea. On that VERY same day Summer (THE TEA OGRE) saw where she had written she loved tea, and thought they should join. Maybe make a tea club. Maybe join up together as the scary evil tea monsters! So that's what they did! They both lived in this big, tall, oak tree, and drank their tea in the sun (on the balcony). They thought about eating little wafers . . . no, wait . . . "WAFERS?!?!?!" says the tea ogre. "No no no, we nibble knee caps silly!!!!!"
(That was Summer's idea, NOT mine. :P)
And so they lived happily ever after.
THE END.

*written by the Tea Monster and Tea Ogre. Any violation of this story OR alterations of this story will not be aloud. You will have to deal with US. (tea monster, tea ogre.) BE SCARED.*

Tuesday, April 12, 2005

The other day, I was pouring myself some tea, and I said out of the blue, "O tea, how I loveth thee." My brother was in the kitchen, and thought I was strange. Which I am. But . . .
I AM THE TEA MONSTER.
And . . .
That's all I have to say! :D

Hello Lord

Hello Lord, it's me your child.
I have a few things on my mind.
Right now I'm faced with big decisions,
and I'm wondering if you have a minute. .

Chorus: Right now I don't hear so well
and I was wondering if you could speak up.
I know that you tore the veil
so I could sit with you in person
and hear what you're saying,
but right now,
I just can't hear you. .

I don't doubt your sovereignty,
I doubt my own ability
to hear what you're saying
and to do the right thing,
and I desperately want to do the right thing. .

Chorus . Somewhere in the back of my mind
I think you are telling me to wait,
and though patience has never been mine,
Lord I will wait to hear from you. .

Chorus
-Sara Groves

wow, so beautiful. It's funny how lyrics just express what you're feeling when you don't really know how to put it in words.

I woke up this morning thinking it was 7:30 AM and I still had to reply to some emails before school started. BUT . . . it was actually 6:12 AM to be exact :P when I woke up. So now I'm really tired but really happy too for some reason. My fingers are freezing cold and the birds are chirping outside . . . which doesn't go together at all but oh well. The birds are chirping, it's supposed to be WARM!!! :P

I must admit though that it's been really really nice weather out lately. Sunday I laid outside in the sun, and I think I *coughcough* got a bit of a tan, although what I think is a tan or am just making up because I really WANT a tan might not be a tan after all.

Why do I always write boring things? how come I am never inspired. Really guys, tell me how much fun you had reading this post (other than lyrics.) BORING. But I don't have anything else to say really! Lots of things that are happening, and stuff that I'm thinking about, but not stuff that I'll always post on my blog for the whole world to see. So for now you'll have to be content with boring, plain old plain old. :P

And . . .
that's all! I have to get to work. With my tired brain trying to comprehend inequalities. *sigh*

lots of love,

scary

I just totally scared myself . . . for a second I thought "blech, blogging. Why do I have to post . . . " evil me, I shall never think that again! lol
I you guys are so wonderful, reading and coming to my blog when I really don't have too much to say. I don't want to blog about my everyday schedule/life, and I don't know what to say now. But I had to revive my blog with a post.
And a quote. This was Summer's MSN name.

"I'm afraid that I'm not all you see all along the coast of me, I'm camouflaged, a desert mirage, a nobody."

greatly describes how I'm feeling at the moment and what I've been thinking about as well.
But as Entwife said though, "I believe it's really, really important to be the way God made you."
So true. Thanks Entwife.

and *dun dun dun* I've figured out how to get the links on the side of my page when you load it, so that it doesn't mess up and there's NO links . . . you have to wait till it's fully loaded, and wola, then it won't be messed up. yay.

anyways ppls, I gtg. Call some people, email some people, eat (it's my hobby, lol. jk) and maybe watch a movie tonight . . . not sure yet. But that's why Saturday's are so wonderful, you have no plan, you just go with the flow.
I cleaned all day today. "the new dust day" as I called it. Spring cleaning. BLECH. Why do Mother's always insist on it?

but . . . I said I was going to go.
keep on rocking rocking like a . . . thing that rocks? yes, you guys do that.

["and when life don't seem worth living, run to Jesus, and He'll hold you in His arms."]

-Come to Jesus, Mindy Smith

Wednesday, April 06, 2005

I don't know what to title this post really. This is going to be just some of my thoughts about things I have noticed lately. It has to do with people acting fake.
By fake I mean not who they really are inside. When their around some people or certain people, they act differently.

Now, I have this too. I think sometimes all girls do act like this, especially when it comes to being around guys. One girl acts fake around guys, then they are fitting in with them. You want to fit in with them too, so, you go and act who you're really not, to fit in with a certain group.
I do it too, and while you're doing it, or after the get together or whatever you're having is over . . . you kick yourself, and I always think, ok, so why did I just act like that? That wasn't me at all.

When girls do this though . . . act fake around guys, what are they trying to do? Fit in with them, make them like them, prove to them you're as good as any other "hot chick" out there. But what do I really want? Do I want to act fakely around guys to draw attention, and make them like that part of me? Or do I want guys to see me for who I really am. Not just like me for outward appearance, but see my inside, the part of me that really matters.

I've just been thinking about that lately. This girl thing, agh, we're all over-emotional and we over-react, and it's so complicated and frustrating. Stupid. But in other ways, it's really important and hurtful when you're feeling it sometimes. What if you act who you really are, other girls don't, you get left out of their group?

I've decided to act who I really am. No real guy is going to want a fake girl.
That sounded strange. :P

Oh, and Lysha's blog is outrageously, drop down dead gorgeous. hmm, sounds like something else we said at the retreat . . . *coughcough*

Anyways, I'll ttyl guys!

*sigh*

This stupid template is not working again . . . it's really starting to annoy me. I need a template like Lysha's. :P

I want to blog all about the weekend, but at the moment I am dead tired, not from the weekend still, just from everything. Including that I worked out for an hour and a half today. I was so proud of myself, I got up at 5:38 AM exacterly. I am SO talented. :P

The retreat weekend was amazing. Next time it needs to happen for a whole week or something.
I had so many awesome talks with people, and amazing music making. The drumming was especially cool, I love banging it, lol. And our little ensemble singing thing was wonderful, we sounded so awesome. Especially the song "The Building Block." We were rocking the place man.
Great times.

Saturday night we had a concert done by Miranda Stone (aka Sarah Hale) and Chris Hale, her husband. Wow, they are amazing witnesses. Miranda's songs made me want to cry, they were so touching. She talked about her life experiences . . . she's one of those people who you can meet one time and kinda pour your heart out to. She's so understanding.
That was a major hightlight.

On Sunday I was sooo sad because it was all done . . . and then my Mom said we were going to Lara's house and to her church for the rest of the day, that prolonged the amazing weekend.
So, Lara and I were sooo hyper, seriously, it was crraaazzzyyy.
"*sigh* I'm thinking about . . . " that was so funny, rofl. Guess what Lara? *sigh* I'm still thinking about . . . :P

Anyways, another post to come soon.

Retreat Weekend

heylo everyone . . . this weekend is the retreat. I think I'll start bouncing off the walls. :P It will be a lot of fun.

So, right now I'm at Lara's, always fun. :P Last night I figured out I like Relient K, finally I got to listen to them. I love their lyrics, wow, their awesome. So Lara and I listened to Relient K last night while we tried on all her clothes. Wow, I love Lara's clothes, LOL. And we're the same size, so it's all goood. :P Right now I am wearing her belt, it's like a seat belt, it says press on it *sigh* it's beautiful. rofl

so . . . you guys probably won't here from me for a while. I will be gone, but I hope you guys all have a wonderful weekend.
cheers everyone! party on! :D
